Central Hill consultation update

We'd like to thank everyone who took the time to participate in the consultation on the future of the estate during October and November.

Over 300 residents gave their views on the proposal of rebuilding the estate, with a wide variety of opinions. The high-level analysis of the consultation results suggests a preference for full rebuilding, however we have received a huge amount of information from residents across the estate which the council needs to very carefully consider.

Given the volume of the feedback from the consultation the council has decided to spend more time to properly reflect on residents' views. We are therefore not taking a report to the next Cabinet meeting on 12th December regarding the future of Central Hill. Nobody wants more uncertainty, but we also want to make sure that the full range of views is fully considered by Lambeth's Cabinet and over the next few weeks we will review all the information you have provided in depth before producing a recommendation for Cabinet to consider. The first Cabinet meeting of the New Year is scheduled for 16th January, where we will aim to bring a recommendation for a decision.

Full details of the feedback as well as the recommendation to Cabinet, will be published on the Lambeth website at the address below in the New Year. We will write to you again when this is available, with further information and the time and place of the relevant cabinet meeting.
