Cressingham Gardens Development Management Team Site Visits

This month, members of the Cressingham Gardens Resident Engagement Panel visited three new housing developments as part of the Development Management Team (DMT) interview process.

After the formal DMT interviews with Arcadis, BDP and Mott MacDonald in September, the interview panel made up of residents, councillors and council staff visited each of the team's sites to see their work in action. Over the week, the panel visited Greenwich Square in Greenwich, St John’s Hill in Wandsworth and Lilian Baylis Old School in Lambeth. They were taken around the sites by the teams and were able to look around the new homes, communal areas, gardens and heating systems.

The interview panel also asked the teams a range of questions during the visits from service charge costs to the level of input residents had in the design. There were things that the panel liked, such as outdoor taps, and things that they definitely didn’t want to see at Cressingham Gardens.

What Happens Next?
These interview scores will be added to the scores from the resident exhibition in September and scores from the Council's review of the written bids to select the chosen team. We are expecting to announce the winning development management team before the end of the year. The successful team will work with residents to design the new estate and will submit the planning application for these designs. If planning permission is granted the team will also plan and oversee the delivery of the new homes.
