DESIGN FORUM

As the rebuild movesforward, the Design Forum is providing an important voice for you in how the new estate is designed.
We held the first meeting on 30th July, which focused on the principles of the Design Forum and an overview of the design process.
We’ll meet again on Monday 3rd September to discuss the future of the open spaces and the outcomes from the tree survey. We hope to see you there.

Joining the Design Forum will help shape your new estate. As a member you will:

  • Make sure the views of residents are taken into account, by encouraging their participation and also by passing on their views to the Design Forum
  • View and input into Design Workshops and plans that will be presented to the rest of the estate
  • Develop a broader knowledge and understanding of the plans for the rebuilt estate and the planning process
  • Discuss wider social aspects of the regeneration and how we engage with residents

Join us: Monday 3rd Sept, 7:00pm-8.30pm
The Hub, 8 Longford Walk

CRESSINGHAM KIDS FIND PIRATE TREASURE!

In our previous newsletter we invited all Cressingham families to come to The Hub at 8 Longford Walk for a family-friendly pirate treasure hunt on Monday 13th August.

From the swing to the sunflowers, to the longest board walk to the highest hill on the estate, brainy buccaneers worked as a team through a series of complex clues to find hidden pirate treasure on the estate!

We also gave children disposable cameras, so they could take pictures of what they treasure on the estate. The images are being developed and will be available for viewing at The Hub.
