South Lambeth Estate Newsletter September 2017

The Development Management Team have published Newsletter 17 for South Lambeth Estate and it is available to read here.

Welcome to this month’s newsletter. As summer has ended and schools commence we hope you are all autumn ready! We have few events occurring this month, so hope you can attend as we look forward to seeing you all.

Tenancies and Leases- This month there will be a formal consultation on the new Homes for Lambeth tenancies and leases. This will include the future provision of the Right to Buy which we know is important to many of you. Once again it is important for you to provide your feedback on these and we will be holding specific drop ins during the consultation for you to ask questions.

Housing Management – Over the next few months we will also be consulting on the future Housing Management of the estates. Like with the Tenancies and Leases you should receive a booklet with information and questions about the future management of the estate. Again we will be holding drop in sessions later in the year to hear your thoughts and feedback on this. Please note these consultations will only be with Broadstone House, Sturminster House, Verwood House, Osmington House and Swanage House as future tenancies and leases for new properties will be with Homes for Lambeth as will the management of the blocks. Wimborne House tenancies, leases and management will not be Homes for Lambeth.

Drop -in Sessions- As usual we are still holding our regular drop-ins at 2 Broadstone House on Tuesdays from 3.30-7pm. We will also be holding our monthly coffee (or tea) and cake afternoon once a month, where Dionne Breedy- Anderson (Decant Officer) ) from Lambeth will be present to answer your questions. This month it will be the 10th October from 3.30- 7pm, feel free to pop down if you are available.

WIMBORNE HOUSE INFORMATION

The TRA have asked us to display the information about the changes to the entrance of Wimborne in the lobby area of Wimborne House for residents who have not been able to pop into 2 Broadstone to see it.

This will be on display in Wimborne House lobby from Tuesday 26th September until Tuesday 10th October, if you have any comments or concerns then please call Claire on 020 7089 2138 or southlambeth@tibbalds.co.uk or the regeneration team on 020 7926 5039 or southlambeth@lambeth.gov.uk.

INDEPENDENT ADVISOR

Hi everyone,

I expect this to be a busy month for me this month as you have an important consultation period on the new tenancies and leases as well as the housing management service.

You are going to have lots to consider over the coming weeks, I just want to remind you that I am on hand to provide you with impartial advice on these matters. It is extremely important that you have your say as this will ultimately shape the service your new landlord Homes for Lambeth will provide.

You can also pop into the community hub at no.2 Broadstone House, for the Tuesday drop-in between 3.30pm - 7.00pm. I hold a regular drop in sessions along with Amma (Buy- Back Officer) for leaseholders to come and chat to us regarding the process for leaseholders.

Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances theses drop ins will not be going ahead for the next month and will start again from the following dates;

• 28th Nov

• 12th Dec
