ST JAMES UPDATE

HSE SITE VISIT AND SOIL REMEDIATION WORKS

The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) visited site and inspected our works in particular on how we were completing the asbestos removal. They spent 2-3 hours on site looking at the methods of removal and reviewed all paperwork in relation to the works. They were pleased with the site works and the demolition taking place and also provided verbal advice on areas on how the operation
of the site could be further improved. We are pleased to report that soil remediation works on all sites have now been successfully completed.

SITE WORKS UPDATE

Site 1 Works Update:
Soil Remediation works have now been completed. Levelling grounds preparing for piling mat and the routine UXO exploration for unexplained ordinance is complete. Pilling works commenced on 25th March 2019.

Site 2 Works Update:
Final installation of back propping to the garages. Soil remediation has now been completed. Stone layer to support piling rig has now commenced.

Site 3 Works Update:
A child’s play area will be constructed on site 3. Enabling works for the play area are progressing. Installation of recycled materials. Part of the site will be used for temporary site offices. Throughout the duration of the project, a range of measures have been implemented to minimise the impact of the works on our neighbours and the local community. These include:

• Regular use of dust suppression systems for demolition
• Traffic marshals and gatemen to control traffic management around the estate
• Roads and pavements are continually swept to remove any deposits from our vehicles
• Regular security talks to our contractors to ensure all access points to site are immediately closed; given proximity of primary school and younger residents of the estate.
