Seated yoga in the hub

On Wednesday 17th July at 11am, please join Claire from Yoga Radiance who will be at the hub to do a chair yoga session for residents to take part in. The session is free and open to all ages. The session will be a gentle introduction to seated yoga. We hope to see you there!

Update from contractors

You will have received a separate newsletter from St James who are in charge of construction of phase one. The different sites are at different stages and there will be moderate noise due to the change in machinery in Site 1. Greening planters have been added to enhance the appearance of the area. There will also be flowers planted by the project administrator. Forthcoming works include drainage and excavation work to reduce piles.

News from the Independent Advisors

Hopefully you are all enjoying some nice summer weather by the time you read this article. The regeneration is moving forward and we are reaching some important milestones. The Council’s Decant Team has been meeting with tenants to discuss and allocate their new homes. For residents it’s beginning to feel a lot more “real”. We supported tenants by attending some of these meetings. So far tenants seem pleased with what they’re being offered.

We’ll be out and about visiting residents on the following dates:

Wednesday 10th July
afternoon or early evening session

Wednesday 24th July
afternoon or early evening session

Please get in touch if you’d like a home visit on any of the above dates.

Best wishes,
Howard Mendick,

Resident Engagement Panel

Resident Engagement Panels (REP) are an important part of how Lambeth Council engages with residents affected by the estates regeneration programme. The next REP meeting will be on the Wednesday 17th July from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Homes for Lambeth officers and the Independent Adviser will be in attendance. The meeting is open for everyone so please come along.
