Construction Update

We have had a windy start to 2020. The weather has presented the project with some challenges to overcome. One of these has been maintaining progress with reduced crane time. The windy weather has been more persistent than expected for this time of the year. Site safety takes priority so some time has been lost due to the weather. However the site teams have been proactive in finding methods of working to positively keep the project moving.

On site 1, level 2 is now being prepared for concrete as the frame continues to rise up into view. Concrete frame works will continue to be the primary trade on this site for the near future.

On site 2, roof slab is currently being prepared for concrete as this site begins to move from concrete frame works to façade works, scaffold installation has now commenced on this building too.

If you require further information please feel free to approach the St James team or contact the site office Tel. 020 3040 0380.

News from the Independent Advisors

This is a very important year for Westbury residents as the regeneration is now moving ahead quickly. We are pleased that the Resident Engagement Panel meetings are up and running again as this gives residents a stronger voice. We are also happy that there will be regular newsletters once again.

We’ve also been working with Abdi from HfL to set up monthly coffee afternoons so that residents can get together in an informal setting to find out about the regeneration and get answers to their questions.

Over the next few weeks you’ll also be meeting our new outreach team, Lindsey and Carley who will be out and about talking to residents. We will also be resuming outreach sessions in the Tower Blocks.

Wherever you live on Westbury, feel free to call us for advice and information about the regeneration.

We’ll be on Westbury on the following dates:

Friday 17 April

Afternoon/early evening session

Friday 8 May

Afternoon/early evening session

Please get in touch if you’d like a home visit on any of the above dates.

Best wishes,
Howard Mendick,
