Independent Advisors Update
Hi, this is Pamela your Independent Resident Advisor from PPCR. Recently I’ve attended some of the online project group meetings coordinated by HfL so am keeping up to date on what’s happening on Central Hill even though I haven’t actually been on the estate since March.
I will continue to support residents with advice about the regeneration, and other works on the estate. I hope it won’t be too long before
I can be back at the Resource Centre for our drop-in sessions. Do get in touch if you need information or support, that’s what we’re here for.
You can call me on 07966 595 527 or email me at email@example.com.
Join the Resident Project Group
From September the group will meet monthly – hopefully face to face, but if not meetings will continue online, to discuss the rebuilding of the estate. Although not a decision-making body the group can ask questions about the rebuilding of the estate which affects you.
If you would like more details and want to be involved in the group, please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org.
A fond farewell…
Reverend Jonathan Croucher from Christ Church is stepping down as the Chair of the Resident Project Group. We thank him for his hard work, patience and humour over the last five years.
English for speakers of other languages classes are underway. Please share with friends and family who may benefit.
Working with the Stockwell Partnership, our ESOL classes are on Tuesday evenings from 6 to 7pm. The sessions will focus on topics that residents want to discuss and the ways in which they wish to improve on their language skills. To find out more and sign up, visit engage.homesforlambeth.co.uk/esol for these friendly and relaxed classes.

Indicative Development Timeline
As a Central Hill resident, this timeline provides an overview of the year ahead. We will keep you up to date of the different aspects of the programme as they arise, or if these timescales change.
Proposed development for Roman Rise
The application to rebuild the site at Roman Rise is now being considered by Lambeth’s Planning Department, prior to the Planning Committee deciding on the scheme. There is no date for this committee meeting yet. The Roman Rise development will be the first new homes for secure tenants and resident homeowners on Central Hill as part of the council and Homes for Lambeth’s Key Guarantees, which can be found: engage.homesforlambeth.co.uk/key_guarantees
Have your Say
You still have time to comment on the proposed Roman Rise scheme by visiting Lambeth’s Planning Portal up to the planning committee date.

What is a Masterplan?
Architects and other consultants will work with you to develop an outline plan for the whole estate, this may include things such as looking at the number of additional homes, community requirements and how the rebuilding will be phased over time.
It is anticipated this process will take approximately 18 months. This will then be submitted for planning approval.
Before moving into your new home, a review of housing costs will be made available – giving rents, annual service charges and estimated utility costs.
A key feature of your new, well insulated home will be the use of technology to re-use heat.
Smart, ecological and cozy!
Your Homes for Lambeth
My name is Maxine Igbinedion. I am your new resident engagement officer for Central Hill. My responsibility is to share information, respond to your queries and co-ordinate engagement activities with you. I will be your first point of call and my job includes working together with you to make the development process more understandable. I’ll also let you know what’s going to happen and when possible, respond to your needs.
I have a local authority background working within capital works and rebuild projects where my role has been to improve performance, scrutiny and build partnerships.
I’ve worked with other similar organisations such as L&Q, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and Vinci.
I remember my teacher, saying I would not amount to much. However, I have gone on to write and produce award-winning community drama and film projects that have brought me right into the Houses of Parliament.
I am passionate about creating excellent resident support and look forward to liaising with you to explore what other activities and opportunities we can develop together.
