Those who braved the bad weather were not disappointed. Not everyone signed in but an estimated 30 residents with their family members attended the day and enjoyed the event. Activities such as, Thai hand massage, bouncy castle and other stalls which included food stalls. The Jerks chicken was very popular and was snapped up quickly, in future we will need to make sure supply is plenty and it cater for Halal and vegetarian diet.
The most popular stall was the face fainting, the young and old were all having their faces painted. The free raffle went down a treat and according to a resident, it was very generous (sponsored by Morrison), the first prize included a Samsung Tablet.
The Cressingham Garden Estate Resident’s DJ Robbie Brown, kept the mood mellow and contributed to the good atmosphere. Residents had the opportunity to get some minor housing repairs done on the day and were able to speak to the regeneration team.
The regeneration team is now holding fortnightly surgery, 4pm – 8pm every other Thursday at the Rotunda Community Centre. Please feel free to come and have a one to one chat with us about any concerns you may have about the regeneration proposal.
