DEVELOPMENT UPDATE
Trinity Rise
Lambeth Council’s Planning Committee has approved our plans to build 20 new affordable homes on the site currently known as Ropers Walk. The scheme will provide much-needed, affordable family sized homes with a communal landscaped garden for existing and future residents. The proposals also reduce carbon emissions by 80%, exceeding target levels and contributing towards Lambeth Council’s commitment to be carbon neutral by 2030.
Under the Key Guarantees, Lambeth Council will continue to talk to residents living in the homes that will be rebuilt, to secure them a suitable place to live while the rebuilding works happen. The Key Guarantees ensure that all Secure Tenants can move into a new home on the rebuilt estate and that resident homeowners have affordable ways to remain as well. Those who have moved under the Key Guarantees will be prioritised for the new homes at Trinity Rise.
We will keep residents updated on the Trinity Rise development progress through newsletters, posters, events, and email. You can also sign up for email updates for Trinity Rise, and other news about the rebuilding of Cressingham Gardens at: https://engage.homesforlambeth.co.uk/stay_in_touch

Hub Refurbishment
Due to Government COVID-19 restrictions, we have not been able to use the hub for Cressingham Gardens Estate. However, this has allowed us to look at ways to refurbish the hub at 8 Longford Walk for its re-opening.
We are hoping to run a range of activities from the hub, and we would appreciate any suggestions you may have for how best the hub could be used. This could be for after school activities or coffee mornings.
If you have a great idea for the use of the hub, then please contact your Resident Engagement Officer, Peter Smith, by phone 07735 725798 or via email [email protected]
INDEPENDENT ADVISOR UPDATE
Hi residents, this is Edward Ogundele, your Independent Adviser. During this continued period of social distancing I will be available to advise residents on how to get involved in the regeneration process or get independent advice on how the regeneration will affect you. You can call me on 07770 883224 or email me at [email protected]
ABANDONED CAR REMOVAL
Update from Lambeth Council:
The Neighbourhood Housing Team recently removed over 22 abandoned vehicles left in Crosby/Longford/Hardel and Ropers Walk’s underground garages. This exercise was carried out with the support of the Safer Neighbourhood Police Unit to offer protection during the removal. The underground parking areas are now safe and clear of abandoned vehicles. We have also improved lighting in the car park to provide reassurance to local residents in the area.

YOUR HOMES FOR LAMBETH
Hello,
I’m Andreia, the new Employability Support Apprentice at Homes for Lambeth. I focus on supporting the Employability team by putting together workshops, presentations and programmes for employability events such as National Apprenticeship Week and National Careers Week.
In my first week at HFL, I delivered a presentation on Employability and Professional Citizenship activities, and I’m so proud of how well it was received by my colleagues. I have a passion for community development and employability, as I care strongly about people matters within and outside the workplace.
I am excited to continue my journey with HFL; my aim is to support as many people as possible who may be looking for employability opportunities in Lambeth. I want to make a real impact on the lives of Lambeth residents.
