In June 2020, Lambeth’s Planning Applications Committee approved Homes for Lambeth’s planning application on the land behind 200-262 Hydethorpe Road at the corner of Thornton Road.
The proposed development will deliver an additional 14 new homes, including affordable homes. Two of these properties will be allocated towards wheelchair users. The new development will be car-free with the exception of 2 disabled parking spaces.
Alongside the new homes, the proposals include the enhancement of the existing estate’s green amenity space, ensuring that all residents will have access to an improved landscaped communal garden.
From Monday 02 November 2020, for a period of two months, we will be carrying out several pre-construction site investigation works.
Timeframe for the enabling work and inspection:
- Enabling work to start on Monday 02 November 2020
- Parking Suspension on Thornton Road to start from Wednesday 04 to Thursday 24 December 2020
- Site inspection to start from week commencing Monday 09 November 2020
If you have any questions, please get in touch with your Resident Engagement Officer, David Silvey on [email protected]
Your Homes For Lambeth
I’m David Silvey, your new Resident Engagement Officer. My main responsibility is to be the point of contact for residents, to ensure that you are aware of our plans, that you understand timescales for planned works in your area and to answer any questions that you may have.
Professionally, I have worked on a number of large infrastructure projects, working directly with local communities to keep them informed of planned and ongoing works, and dealing with questions raised by the community. I have also previously worked on some major sporting events including the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics and the Tour de France.
I am looking forward to developing good working relationships between HFL and local residents in order to provide positive results for the community.
Outside of work I enjoy watching sport (especially football), music and gardening. I am married with a young son.
If you have any questions about your area, please do get in touch with me.
