Homes for Lambeth are proposing to build 14 new homes, including six new affordable homes on the land behind 200-262 Hydethorpe Road at the corner of Thornton Road. Two of the affordable homes will be at council level rent and four will be shared ownership, two of these properties will be allocated towards wheelchair users. The new development will be car free with the exception of two disabled parking spaces
The proposals will significantly improve the quality, appearance and usability of the existing communal amenity space on the site, including new planting and playspace. Furthermore, new tree planting and landscaping will also be provided along Hydethorpe Road and Thornton Road to improve the quality and appearance of the street and public realm.
All new homes will comply with the Mayor of London’s residential standards and be provided with private amenity space. The new homes comprise high-quality architectural design which seeks to provide an attractive and safe place for people to live and visit. The development will be car-free and encourages sustainable modes of transport with the provision of secure cycle parking for all residents.
