Update from Pinnacle
We are aware of the ongoing maintenance works to the lifts in 3 Gundulf Street. We’d like to thank you for your patience and will ensure that these issues are resolved as soon as possible.
Anti-social behaviour in the tower block
We received reports from residents of 3 Gundulf Street during January that there had been people gathering on the top floors of the block. As far as we know, these people are not residents on Lollard Street estate, and we are in continuing communication with the police about the reports received.
While the police have said they are increasing their patrols in the area, they have also said they had received a much smaller number of reports compared to the number the housing team received.
It is important that we are informed of any incidents, but due to the nature and number of these incidents, we ask that anyone who sees any large group of people congregating inside the block and causing any kind of nuisance always reports the issue to the police as well.
We also ask that if you see someone you do not recognise outside the block waiting to be let in, you do not allow them to enter with you. This will reduce the chances of anyone accessing the block who is not a resident or visitor.
We are taking these reports very seriously and it is a priority issue for Homes for Lambeth and your housing management team.
We will also soon be making changes to our fob access system. We will be re-securing the fob entry to the bin room on the ground floor of 3 and 5 Gundulf St. This means you will need your fob keys to access the room. Please do not forget your fob keys when you go down to dispose of your rubbish.
Anyone caught leaving rubbish outside of the room, or otherwise incorrectly disposing of their rubbish, could be charged for the cost of cleaning the space. This is a serious health and safety concern, and anyone who persistently breaches their tenancy agreement in this way may have action taken against them, including a notice of possession.
Get involved - London Learning Consortium
London Learning Consortium event – all residents welcome!
As part of our commitment to improving the lives of our residents, Homes for Lambeth is joining up with the London Learning Consortium (LLC) to deliver a new project for Lollard Street residents.
LLC is a Community Interest Company that works for the benefit of communities and businesses across London and South East. They deliver skills and education programmes in partnership with Voluntary and Community Sector learning providers and other learning and skills delivery organisations. They provide a range of services to their partners and funders within the learning and skills sector. Their work focuses on where the need is and how best to ensure impact.
LLC will shortly be carrying out a survey on the estate to fully understand the needs and aspirations of residents. Before this LLC will be hosting an event for all residents to help shape the survey.
This event will also be attended by members of the Homes for Lambeth Homes Board. These are the people appointed to oversee our operations and make sure we are working to high standards as a social landlord.
The event will take place on;
Saturday 29 February 10am – 2pm at Ethelred Nursery and Day Centre
Children welcome (with a parent or carer)
Please come along and share your experiences as a resident and your hopes for the future.
We’re organising a spring fete for residents to come together and enjoy, we would love to hear from you so if you have any ideas, please email Abdi Duale on firstname.lastname@example.org.
